Man Stabbed After Verbal Dispute Outside Upper West Side Bar
The man suffered a wound to his lower back.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NEW YORK — A man was stabbed in his lower back early Sunday morning after leaving a bar on the Upper West Side, police said.
According to the NYPD, the 37-year-old man and three friends left the bar when they engaged in a verbal dispute with two unknown males shortly before 4 a.m.. The dispute occurred again on the northeast corner of 79th Street and Amsterdam Avenue and the man was stabbed with a "cutting instrument."
Police said it was believed the man was stabbed with a knife but it is currently unknown what the object was.

The man suffered a "punctured wound" to the lower back area and was transported to Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital.
The perpetrator fled the scene. Police did not have a description of him.
