Man Stabbed In Back After Fight On Upper West Side, NYPD Says
The suspect fled into the subway and remains at large.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Police are searching Thursday for a suspect after a 51-year-old man was stabbed in the back on the Upper West Side, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, officers responding to a 911 call found the victim with stab wounds in his back on West 77th Street near Amsterdam Avenue on Wednesday at 1:16 a.m.
The victim was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition, police said.

The NYPD said that the stabbing followed a fight with the suspect, who ran away from the scene and was last seen on West 72nd Street heading into the subway. Police said the suspect is a man who was last seen wearing a white shirt and a green hat.
No arrests have been made yet, but the investigation is underway, police said.
