Man Threatens To Shoot Former Coworkers At Upper West Side Bareburger, Police Say

A former employee of the Upper West Side burger spot returned Thursday to harass restaurant workers.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Cops are searching for a disgruntled former employee of an Upper West Side restaurant who returned Thursday to harass and threaten his ex-coworkers, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.

The man entered the Bareburger on Columbus Avenue near Wes 97th Street around Thursday afternoon, police told Patch. Once inside the restaurant he began threatening his former coworkers, at one point saying he would shoot them, police said.

Employees at the restaurant called the cops, who showed up around 2:30 p.m., police told Patch. The man was gone by the time police arrived, police said.

The suspect is described as a man with long hair who was wearing a backpack, jeans and a dark jacket, police told Patch.

No arrests have been made, and the suspect has not been identified, police told Patch.
