Kevin Bell, 47, died when he jumped from a ninth floor window around 7:3o a.m. in the Apthorp — located on Broadway between West 78th and West 79th streets — and landed on a scaffolding below the building, police sources told the New York Daily News and New York Post. Bell's body was discovered by his wife when she went to close the window from which he jumped and noticed her husband's body on the scaffolding, police told the Daily News.

The financial manager at hedge fund Arrowgrass Capital Partners reportedly had a history of depression and had been taking medication, the New York Post reported.
