UPPER WEST SIDE, MANHATTAN — One of the hotly anticipated restaurants of the New Year has officially opened its doors in the West 70th Street spot that once held Lincoln Center Steakhouse.

Tavola Della Nonna, an Italian eatery, started serving up a limited version of its menu on Wednesday evening, according to the restaurant's website. It will run with a pizza bar, cafe and a limited food menu until the full dining room opens soon, the eatery said.

The restaurant has already gotten write-ups from West Side Rag, I Love Upper West Side's blog and the New York Post, who included it on its list of "8 New Restaurants That Will Make New York Even Tastier In 2020."

The grand opening also comes as the restaurant will be featured in an episode of Law & Order SVU, according to the West Side Rag.

The TV show filmed at the 208 West 70th St. spot last year, before Tavola Della Nonna moved in, and will be airing the episode at 10 p.m. on Thursday. In the episode the restaurant is named Markeevious Rare Steakhouse, the West Side Rag reported.

The real-life eatery will bring authentic Italian-American cuisine to its customers, the restaurant said.

Tavola Della Nonna's chef is Stratos Georgedakis, who served as executive chef at popular New York City spot Quality Meats.

The restaurant's name means "grandmother's table."

"From the moment you walk in to this neighborhood gathering place, you’ll feel the warmth and hospitality of an Italian grandmother," the eatery writes on its website. "Whether you’re sipping signature cocktails at the bar, enjoying specialty pizzas fresh from the oven, you’ll enjoy an amazing atmosphere and culinary experience that will keep you and your family coming back for seconds."
