NYPD Looking For Man Who Struck Officer In The Face On UWS
The police officer was riding a patrol scooter when he was struck in the side of the face by a hard object, according to the NYPD.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is looking for a man who struck a scooter-riding police officer in the face when he was out on patrol on the Upper West Side.
The officer was cruising on a NYPD department scooter near Columbus Avenue and West 67th Street, when he got unexpectedly hit in the side of the face with an unknown hard object, according to police.
The individual who threw the object fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

The officer was taken to Mount Sinai Saint Luke's hospital in stable condition, where he received treatment for pain and swelling on the right side of the face.
The incident took place on June 2, but police released images of the man wanted in connection for the first time on Monday.
