One Person Seriously Injured In Upper West Side Motorcycle Crash
The crash occurred on West 96th Street and Central Park West around 9 a.m.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — One person was brought to the hospital with serious injuries after a Thursday morning motorcycle crash on the Upper West Side.
The crash occurred around 9 a.m. near the intersection of West 96th Street and Central Park West, an FDNY spokesman said. One person was transported to St. Luke's Hospital with serious injuries, but the FDNY spokesman could not confirm the extent of the injuries suffered.
The FDNY did not have any information about the injured person's identity.

The crash appeared to be caused by a collision between a motorcycle and a car, neighborhood blog the West Side Rag reported. The FDNY did not confirm what kind of vehicles were involved.
A tipster sent the West Side Rag photos of a battered motorcycle and a car with damage to its hood and front bumper. The West Side Rag reported that the motorcyclists' helmet had been cracked and was in the street.

There have been 85 reported injuries at the intersection of West 96th Street and Central Park West since 2009, according to the city's Vision Zero data.
