Person Jumps From 8th Floor Of Manhattan Hospital, Cops Say
A person who jumped out the eighth floor of Mount Sinai Morningside and landed on a ledge was rushed back to the hospital, officials said.

MORNINGSIDE HEIGHTS, NY — A person who jumped from the eighth floor of Mount Sinai Morningside was rushed back to the hospital Monday afternoon, officials said.
The person was seen jumping from the eighth floor of the 1111 Amsterdam Ave. building around 2 p.m. and landed on a fifth floor ledge, an NYPD spokesperson said.
The person was brought back into Mount Sinai Morningside, which was called St. Luke's until earlier this year, by emergency responders, an FDNY spokesperson said.

They are not likely to die from their injuries, the NYPD spokesperson said.
FDNY and NYPD did not immediately have more information about who the person was.
