Person Struck, Seriously Injured by Train on Upper West Side
A person was hit by a 1 train Wednesday morning in the 96th Street Station on the Upper West Side.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A person was struck by a train Wednesday morning in an Upper West Side subway station and seriously injured, an FDNY spokesman told Patch.
The person, who has not been identified, was hit by a 1 train at the 96th Street station on Broadway around 8 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said. The spokesman could not confirm if the person was struck by accident.
The person was transported to St. Luke's Hospital with serious injuries, the FDNY spokesman told Patch.

As first responders operated on the scene, 1 line service was delayed at 96th Street. Train service was restored without delays by 8:30, according to the MTA.
