Police Bust 12 People For Drugs In One Day On UWS: NYPD

On Monday, detectives on the Upper West Side arrested 12 people for a variety of drug-related offenses.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The NYPD 20th Precinct busted 12 drug buyers and sellers Monday on the Upper West Side.

Local detectives took heroin, marijuana, and K2 off the streets, while also seizing over $10K and a BMW, according to the 20th Precinct's Twitter page.

"We hear the UWS community's concerns. With your help, we will continue to target the offenders reducing your quality of life," the 20th Precinct wrote on Twitter.

The majority of the arrests took place between 77th and 83rd Streets, and five of the 12 incidents involved marijuana, according to the West Side Rag.
