Police Investigating Possible Suicide in Upper West Side After Man Falls From Roof

Police are investigating the cause of death for a man found dead Sunday in the Upper West Side.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Police are investigating the cause of a suspicious death on the Upper West Side.

An unidentified man, 45, was found dead Sunday morning around 1:30 outside of a townhouse on W. 88th Street near Columbus Avenue, police told Patch. Police are still trying to figure out whether the man jumped or fell, police said.

The man went up to the roof of the townhouse because he was locked out of his apartment, police said. He was going to try to get into his apartment using a window, police told Patch.

Paramedics rushed to the scene in an attempt to save the man but were unsuccessful, police said.
