Police Release Video Of Man Who Robbed Postal Worker On Upper West Side

The man is accused of grabbing a lanyard and set of keys from a postal worker's neck.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The NYPD released security camera footage of a suspect in the robbery of a postal worker on the Upper West Side.

On April 17 a 31-year-old postal worker was walking on Columbus Avenue between West 95th and 96th streets when she was approached from behind by an unknown man, police told Patch. The man grabbed a lanyard and a set of keys from the postal workers neck during a physical altercation, police said.

After grabbing the postal worker's keys the man fled the scene by running west on West 95th Street, police said.

The postal worker did not suffer any physical injuries during the robbery, police told Patch.

Police later acquired footage of the suspect walking down the street. The suspect is in his 20s, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing around 160 pounds, police said. At the time of the robbery the man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the word "Nike" in red on the front, blue sweatpants and black and white sneakers, police told Patch.

The suspect is still at-large, police told Patch.
