Police Searching for Alleged Upper West Side Shooter
The suspect allegedly shot another man in the chest and neck on the Upper West Side.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is asking the public to help locate a suspect in an Upper West Side shooting.
Niiamarte Cintron, 45, approached a man Friday, Aug. 5 and shot the man in the neck and chest, police told Patch. The shooting occurred on the 800 block of Amsterdam Avenue near the Frederick Douglass Houses around 9:48 p.m., police said.
The victim, an unidentified man, was treated at Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital and is in stable condition, police said.

Police describe Cintron as 5-foot-6, 180 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
