Teen Shot In UWS Convenience Store, Police Say

Two suspects with guns are still on the loose, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Police are looking for suspects after a 19-year-old boy was shot in a convenience store on the Upper West Side Sunday night, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the teen was at 2812 Broadway, between West 108th Street and West 109th Street, when he was pistol-whipped and shot on the right side of his ribcage at 10:29 p.m.

The two perpetrators both had guns and took the victim's chain off his neck before running away, police sources said.

Police said medics took the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition. No arrests have been made yet, police said.
