Upper West Side Celebrates National Night Out Against Crime

NYPD community affairs officers will be celebrating with community members Tuesday evening while teaching them best safety practices.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Instead of trying to avoid a run in with the cops, Upper West Siders will be partying with the police during Tuesday's celebration of National Night Out. During National Night Out, neighborhood residents can meet local police officers to learn best safety practices and enjoy free food and entertainment.

The Upper West Side is covered by two police precincts, the 20th and 24th precincts. Both precincts will be holding separate National Night Out celebrations.

The 20th precinct event will be held at Verdi Square Park from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
