Upper West Side Cop Arrested for Assaulting Girlfriend: Police
Freddie Salas' girlfriend suffered from pain and bruising on her knee, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An off-duty New York City Police officer was charged with misdemeanor assault of his girlfriend in the Upper West Side Friday morning, police said. Freddie Salas, 32, works at a precinct in The Bronx.
At 6:04 a.m., police were called within the 24th Precinct, which spans 86th Street to 110th Street on the Upper West Side.
Salas allegedly caused pain and bruising to his girlfriend's knee. She had a cut and bruises because of the assault, police said.
