UWS Burglar Shatters Door To Break Into Smoke Shop: Police

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A burglar broke into a smoke shop on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and stole lotto tickets, cigarettes, and over $300 from the register, according to police.

An unidentified man entered the A&S Convenience and Smoke Shop at 2282 Broadway on Thursday by shattering the door with a hard object, police said.

After he gathered up the lotto tickets, cigarettes, and $332, he fled northbound on Broadway toward West 83rd Street.

The incident took place on Thursday, but a picture of the unidentified man was released Tuesday.
