UWS Gem H&H Bagels To Expand Nationally: Report
The bagel shop became famous nationwide thanks to its appearance in a 1997 episode of "Seinfeld."
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY ā H&H Bagelsāthe longtime Upper West Side favorite that gained broader fame when it appeared as Kramer's place of employment in a 1997 "Seinfeld" episodeāis about to become a nationwide chain, the Commercial Observer reported Monday.
The company currently operates a few other locations in the city, including one in midtown near Madison Square Garden and another on the Upper East Side. But H&H's fame thanks to its inclusion in "the show about nothing" has made it a great candidate for expansion, current H&H chief executive Jay Rushin told the Commercial Observer.
Thanks to a 25-state deal, carb lovers in Florida, California, Virginia, Illinois, Connecticut and Washington, D.C. will soon have a chance to sink their teeth into a H&H bagel, according to the Commercial Observer.

The first franchise location slated to open in the third quarter of 2023 will be in Boca Raton, Florida, Rushin told the outlet.
H&H's menu boasts bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwiches, bagel flavors ranging from blueberry to cheddar jalapeno, croissants, coffee, yada yada yada.
