Want to Work at Columbia? University to Hold Job Expo in September

Columbia University is hiring staff for a number of positions at facilities in Morningside Heights, West Harlem and Washington Heights.

Attention Upper Manhattan, Columbia University is hiring. The university is looking for qualified applicants for more than 20 positions across a variety of fields including the security, construction, psychiatry, administration and custodial industries.

Positions will be offered across three Columbia campuses — the main Morningside Heights Campus, the Manhattanville Campus in West Harlem and the Columbia University Medical Center in Washington Heights.

Jobseekers can attend the Empire State Development & Columbia University Career and Resource Expo being held at Columbia's Lerner Hall on Sept. 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to learn more about the positions and to submit applications.

To attend the expo, one must pre-register by Friday, Sept. 2, either online or by visiting the Columbia Employment Information Center at 3180 Broadway near 125th street. The center is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration for the job expo is free.

Anyone attending the expo should bring an updated version of their resume, a printed email confirming their registration for the event and a current union membership card (for construction positions).
