Woman Pushing Stroller Robbed Outside Central Park, 3 Teens Arrested: Police

A woman was followed out of Central Park and robbed while walking on Central Park West.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A woman pushing a stroller on Central Park West was shoved from behind and robbed by three teenagers Wednesday afternoon, police told Patch.

The woman was walking through Central Park around 12:30 p.m. when three teenagers started to follow her police said. When she exited the park at West 86th Street the teens continued to follow her as she walked up Central Park West. When the woman got to West 90th Street and Central Park West she was shoved to the ground by the teenagers and her purse was stolen, police told Patch.

After the robbery was reported, police began to canvass the area for the suspects, police said.

A patrol car spotted two of the robbers near West 85th Street and Amsterdam Avenue and arrested them without incident, police said. The third suspect was arrested on the rooftop of a nearby building, police told Patch.

Charges are pending against the three suspects, police told Patch. Police did not immediately have a description of the suspects, but the Daily News reported the suspects are two 19-year-old men and a 14-year-old girl.
