Woman Stabbed During Robbery On Upper West Side, Police Say

Another woman was punched in the face and had her cellphone stolen, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A woman was stabbed and another was punched in the face during a robbery Monday night on an Upper West Side street, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.

Two women, ages 23 and 22, were on Columbus Avenue between West 108th and 109th streets shortly after 9 p.m. Monday when they were robbed by a 26-year-old woman, police told Patch. The suspected robber stabbed the 23-year-old victim with a glass object and punched the 22-year-old woman in the face, an NYPD spokesman said.

The 22-year-old victim also had her cellphone stolen by the suspect, police told Patch.

The 23-year-old victim was brought to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, an NYPD spokesman said.
