Woman Stole from Four Upper West Buildings: Police

The woman has stolen belongings such as wallets, electronics and credit cards, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Police are trying to identify a woman who has a knack for entering buildings on the Upper West Side and leaving with other people's belongings.

On August 1 the woman entered an Equinox Gym on 160 Columbus Ave. and took a purse from a gym locker, police said. Just four days later the woman entered 132 West 65th Street and stole various items and small electronics from the building's 5th and 6th floors, police said.

After a two-week hiatus the woman again entered a building located at 1841 Broadway and stole a wallet on August 19, Police told patch. Her latest theft took place September 6 at 45 Columbus Ave., where she removed credit cards from someone's purse, police said.

All four of the buildings are just a few blocks away from the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
