Zucker's Bagels & Smoked Fish to Open on Upper West Side
Tribeca's Zucker's Bagels & Smoked Fish will open a new location Dec. 22 on the Upper West Side.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Another spot to grab a bagel and lox is coming to the Upper West Side next week. Zucker's Bagels & Smoked Fish, which currently operates stores in Tribeca and Grand Central, is opening Dec. 22 on Columbus Avenue.
The new store, located on 273 Columbus near 73rd Street, will serve up Zucker's acclaimed hand-rolled bagels, cream cheese spreads and a dozen varieties of smoked fish, according to a press release. The Upper West Side store will also debut an all-new egg menu and draft lattes from La Colombe Coffee Roasters.
The new Upper West Side location will be housed in a landmarked building and will feature restored tin ceilings and a brand-new gold-leaf mural, according to a press release.

Zucker's was founded in 1994 on Rivington Street by then-Wall Streeter Matt Pomerantz. Pomerantz opened the bagel store as a new business venture for his family, according to Zucker's website. The store was named Zucker's after his mother, Roslyn Marilyn Zucker Pomerantz.
