• Oneida County Health Director speaks on Measles cases in surrounding counties (cnyhomepage.com) — Utica and Oneida County residents are being urged to stay current on measles, mumps, and rubella vaccinations as nearby counties report new measles cases. Health Director Dr. Daniel Gilmore says there have been no confirmed local cases in 30 years, but the county is stepping up outreach in rural and low-vaccination areas and inviting residents to confirm or update their MMR shots through the county clinic.
• Lone Goal Leads Utica Over Keuka — Penn Yan, NY (fingerlakesdailynews.com) — Utica University's men's soccer team edged Keuka College 1–0 in an Empire 8 matchup, breaking a historical series tie and reinforcing Utica's edge in the rivalry. Playing at Keuka's Jephson Community Athletic Complex, Utica controlled possession and finally broke through in the 60th minute, then shut down Keuka's attack for the final half hour.
• Pamal Broadcasting To Acquire Galaxy Media. (insideradio.com) — Radio listeners and advertisers in Utica could soon notice changes as Pamal Broadcasting moves to acquire Galaxy Media, which operates 10 stations serving the Syracuse–Utica market. Pending FCC approval, Pamal takes over operations October 1 under a local marketing agreement, with both companies emphasizing continued community-focused programming and local business support.
