1 Charged After Stealing Rolex Watch, Pushing Owner To Ground: Police
A Bronx man is facing two second-degree robbery charges following the May 1 incident in Seaford, police said.
SEAFORD, NY — A Bronx man is facing charges after police said he robbed another man of his Rolex watch in Seaford earlier this month.
According to Nassau County police, Sandy Sanchez, 26, is charged with two counts of second-degree robbery. He was arrested this week in connection with the May 1 theft, police said.

According to police, Sanchez and a second suspect agreed to meet the victim, who was selling a Rolex watch valued at $8,500 on Facebook Marketplace, in the parking lot of Starbucks on Sunrise Highway. Police said when the victim presented the watch to Sanchez and the second suspect, the two men grabbed the watch and pushed the victim to the ground.
According to police, when Sanchez and the second suspect tried to flee in a black Mercedes Benz, the victim jumped on the hood of the car to prevent them from leaving. The men continued driving and the victim was thrown from the hood, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries, including a cut to the head and an injured hip, police said.
Sanchez was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday, police said.
