Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. A 12-year-old boy was seriously injured after being hit by a car crossing a road in Seaford Friday afternoon.According to police, the boy was crossing Merrick Road near Washington Avenue at 1:40 p.m. when he was hit by a 2001 Toyota Corolla being driven by a 32-year-old woman. The driver remained at the scene. Police say the boy suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.Police say it seems to be an accident and there is no criminality suspected at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
