4 Seaford Students Join Youth Leadership Conference

The high school sophomores will participate in the seminar in June.

SEAFORD, NY — Four Seaford High School sophomores have been named to the 2023 Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership conference.

Ava Caruso, Myles Munro, Anastasia Perlegis and Joseph Sanfilippo will participate in the seminar in June.

Students are selected to prepare them for school leadership roles typically taken on by juniors and seniors.

"I want to learn new ways and strategies to help others and better myself," Sanfilippo, who is involved in the National Art Honor Society, said.

Caruso's extra-curricular activities include being captain of the bowling team and a member of the Mathletes team.

Munro, a member of the track team, said: "It’s an opportunity to learn how to really
be a leader and to take my academics and my leadership forward."
