He talks about his fourth-generation funeral home roots, loud personality, and strategy, and invites locals to a free viewing party Thursday night at Mulcahy's in Wantagh to cheer him on.
• Newsday's top 100 Long Island girls volleyball players for 2026 (newsday.com) — Two standout Wantagh High School players, senior hitter Kylie Hoffman and junior setter/right-side Sienna Muller, have been named among Newsday's top 100 Long Island girls volleyball players for 2026. • Long-Term Shelter Dog Rodney Has Spent More Than 800 Days Watching People Walk Past His Kennel (greatergood.com) — At the Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh, Rodney has spent more than 800 days watching families walk past his kennel, still hoping someone finally chooses him. Staff say this gentle, five-year-old pup has blossomed from shy to affectionate, walks nicely on a leash, and would thrive with older kids and a patient home ready to give a long-waiting dog a real second chance.
