Beer, Live Music And Pumpkins: Seaford's 1st Annual Oktoberfest
The Seaford Chamber of Commerce plans to host its first Oktoberfest this fall. There will be beer.

SEAFORD, NY — Mark your calendars Seaford — pumpkins, pies and pilsners are coming to town.
The Seaford Chamber of Commerce plans to host its first annual Oktoberfest festival Oct. 5 in the parking lot of the Seaford Long Island Rail Road station. The event is free and open to the public. It's slated to begin at 1 p.m. and end at 5 p.m., according to a flyer for the event.
Attendees will be treated to live entertainment, craft vendors and a Metrocade game truck, the flyer said. There will also be plenty of food trucks, gourds and pies.

Among the vendors participating in the event: W A Meadwerks of Lindenhurst; Destination Unknown Beer Company of Bay Shore; Small Craft Brewing Company of Amityville; and Hometown Bakeshop, organizers said.
The cover band Vinyl Revival will also perform at the event. The band plays classic rock, dance, disco, soul and Motown. It covers artists including Hall & Oates, Donna Summer, The Doobie Brothers, The Temptations, Linda Ronstadt, Steely Dan, John Mellencamp, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Four Seasons, according to the band's Facebook page.
