Bellmore Man Dies After Being Hit By Car In Wantagh
Police say he was crossing Sunrise Highway just before midnight when he was hit. The investigation is still ongoing.
A Bellmore man died after he was hit by a car while crossing a road in Wantagh late Saturday night.
According to police, Holario Perez, 60, of Bellmore, was crossing Sunrise Highway from south to north just before midnight when he was hit by a 2014 Checrolet. Perez suffered multiple injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a doctor.
The driver of the car, a 21-year-old man, stayed at the scene. Police say a brake test was administered to his car, and it passed.
