Build a Free Disaster Kit for Hurricane Season
Eisenhower Park will host kit-building and educational program Aug. 23.

As hurricane season looms, Long Island Families are helping Nassau residents prep by helping them build “catastrophe kits.”
Officials from Long Island Families, The Allstate Foundation, and other crisis management teams will head to Eisenhower Park help build free disaster kits for use in case of an emergency.
The kits contain safety items like whistles, trash bags, dust masks, hand sanitizer, first aid materials, water bottles, rain ponchos and flashlights.
