Car Hits Highway Guardrail, Tree; Passenger Killed: Nassau Police
The victim has been identified, while the driver was listed in stable condition from the Sunday morning collision, police say.

SEAFORD, NY — A man was killed Sunday morning in a car accident. The crash took place just before 8 a.m. on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway south of Exit 1E (Merrick Road) in Seaford, police said.
Officers found the vehicle wrapped against the guardrail and it struck a tree.
A 23-year-old male passenger sustained severe trauma and was pronounced dead at an area hospital a short time later, detectives said.

The victim was identified on Monday by police as Xavier Pena of Valley Stream.
Exit 1E is the last exit of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway.

The driver was hospitalized in stable condition.
