Congregation Beth Tikvah Leaders Honored by Senator Brooks

The couple has been involved in many facets of the synagogue for years.

Two long-time members of Congregation Beth Tikvah in Wantagh were honored by Sen. John Brooks at the synagogues annual Journal Celebration on Sunday. Brooks honored congregation leaders Helene and Jerald Wohlstetter with a proclamation that was a tribute to the couple's hard work and leadership.

Brooks noted the universal praise for the Wohlstetters from Congregation Beth Tikvah members, with many referring to them as a well-deserving and outstanding couple.

“Thank you, Helene and Jerry, for being a cornerstone of the synagogue; generous with your time — always there for a friend, neighbor or family member in need – and an inspiration to the entire congregation," Brooks said as he presented the couple with the proclamation. "Congratulations on this well-deserved honor, in recognition that your efforts have enabled this Congregation to thrive."
