Cops: 12 DWIs Reported Last Week

Twelve people were charged for driving while intoxicated last week, according to Nassau County Police.

Major throughways like Hempstead Turnpike, the Northern State Parkway, and Merrick Road continued to be high traffic areas for DWIs, cops said.

Nassau County Police reported the following information. Charges are merely accusations and to not indicate guilt.

July 17: Tyshawn Walker, 35, of Coram, charged with DWI on the Northern State Parkway in North Hills.

July 18: Richard Lonschein, 45, of Atlantic Beach, charged with DWI at Park Boulevard and Merrick Avenue in East Meadow.

July 18: Raphael Grovenor, 48, of Queens Village, charged with DWI at Hempstead Turnpike and Meacham Avenue in Elmont.

July 18: Joseph Cancellieri, 20, of Seaford, charged with DWI at Merrick Road and Cedar Street in Seaford.

July 19: Lesther Lucero, 22, of Bay Shore, charged with DWI at Hempstead Turnpike and Meadowbrook Place in Uniondale.

July 19: Miguel Ventura, 45, of Uniondale, charged with DWI at Argyle Avenue and Davis Avenue in Uniondale.

July 19: Jose Bonilla, 33, of Westbury, charged with DWI at Hempstead Turnpike and Meadowbrook Parkway in East Meadow.

July 19: Darrin Schmitt, 20, of West Islip, charged with DWI on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow.

July 19: Ronald Whiting, 44, of Stafford, charged with DWI at Hempstead Turnpike and Merrick Avenue in East Meadow.

July 20: Suzanne Hoey, 19, of Massapequa Park, charged with DWI at Hempstead Turnpike and Meadowbrook Parkway in East Meadow.

July 20: Adam Shapiro, 24, of Plainview, charged with DWI on I-495 in Hicksville.

July 21: Hermen Ojeda, 38, of Far Rockaway, charged with DWI at Lido Boulevard and Leamington Street in Lido Beach.
