Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. A man robbed a Mineola bank Thursday morning and fled, authorities said.Nassau County police say the man entered the Chase Bank on 175 East Jericho Turnpike and presented a demand note to a teller at 10:52 a.m.According to detectives, the teller complied, and the then man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.The man is described as about 30 years old, 5'7" to 5'8" and 150 pounds with a thin build. He was wearing a dark bucket hat, dark sunglasses and a long sleeved button-down shirt with diagonal stripes, according to police.There were five employees and three customers in the bank at the time of the incident, police said.No injuries were reported.Detectives ask anyone with information about this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
