Cops: Bank Robbed in Mineola

A man held up a bank Thursday morning, police said.

A man robbed a Mineola bank Thursday morning and fled, authorities said.

Nassau County police say the man entered the Chase Bank on 175 East Jericho Turnpike and presented a demand note to a teller at 10:52 a.m.

According to detectives, the teller complied, and the then man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is described as about 30 years old, 5’7” to 5’8” and 150 pounds with a thin build. He was wearing a dark bucket hat, dark sunglasses and a long sleeved button-down shirt with diagonal stripes, according to police.

There were five employees and three customers in the bank at the time of the incident, police said.

No injuries were reported.
