Cops: Freeport Teen Fatally Stabbed Woman in Front of 9-Year-old Girl
A second teen was stabbed in the chest and suffered non-fatal injuries, cops said.

A Freeport teenager faces manslaughter charges after she fatally stabbed a woman and severely injured another after a fight, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said Jasmine Copeland, 16, was in front of her home at 8:10 p.m. Saturday when she began arguing with three females, ages 17, 16, and nine. The argument turned into a physical fight in which Copeland stabbed two of the three others, cops said.
Copeland reportedly stabbed the 16-year-old victim and caused a laceration to the upper left side of her chest, cops said. Copeland then stabbed the 17-year-old, identified as Abigail Thomas, of Freeport, in the lower left side of her back, cops said.
