WANTAGH, NY – A crash Monday morning on the westbound lanes of the Southern State Parkway near Wantagh Avenue has blocked an on ramp, according to the state Department of Transportation. The crash happened during the tail end of rush-hour traffic around 9:40 a.m.The crash appeared to be minor and traffic resumed shortly thereafter. A spokesman for New York State Police told Patch he had no information on the crash as of 11:20 a.m. Monday.
