Crowds Line Streets For Annual Memorial Day Parades
Seaford and Wantagh hosted parades to honor those to died fighting for the country.
SEAFORD, NY — Residents came out to pay respects to those who died serving our country over the decades.
At the Memorial Day parade in Wantagh, led by the American Legion Post 1273, groups, including a local Boy Scouts troop, participated in the marching. It culminated with a ceremony. Among those who spoke was Hempstead Town Councilman Chris Carini.
Carini also took part in the neighboring Wantagh parade on Monday, where local firefighters were on hand. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts also joined the parade. The Seaford High School band performed.
