Driver Crashes Into Tree Alongside LI Highway: Police

The driver was transported to an area hospital in stable condition, police say.

SEAFORD, NY — The driver of a Jeep Cherokee was taken to a local hospital after crashing into a tree on the side of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway on Monday afternoon.

It happened just before 3:30 p.m. southbound between exits 3 (Jerusalem Avenue) and exit 4 (Southern State Parkway), police said.

The victim was in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, police said,
