Drunken Driver Flips Over, Crashes Into Parked Car: Police

WANTAGH, NY — A Rockville Centre man was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated in Wantagh.

William Hunt, 68, is accused of driving into an unoccupied parked vehicle Saturday on Wantagh Avenue, police said.

Hunt had to be extricated from his Suburu Forrester, which flipped onto its side.

He was taken to a local hospital. Police determined he was drunk by the alcoholic breath. They were unable to perform a sobriety test.

Hunt will be arraigned on the DWI when it's medically practical.
