Duo Charged in Nassau Cellphone Store Burglaries
The two men cut holes through adjacent stores to gain access to the cellphone stores, police say.

NASSAU COUNTY, NY - Two Bronx men were recently arrested for burglarizing several cellphone stores in Nassau County, according to Nassau Police.
Beginning in July 2015, Edwin Cardenas, 46, and Kelvyn Sanchez-Pena, 36, forcibly pried open the back doors of a Seaford store and three Hicksville stores, police said.
They would then cut a hole through the wall, enter the cellphone stores and steal cellphones and assorted electronic devices, police said.

On Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 12:50 a.m., they entered the Aetna Lighting Store on 535 South Broadway in Hicksville to enter into the adjacent T-Mobile store, police said.
On Wednesday, August 5, 2015, the two entered the AT&T store on 263 Old Country Road in Hicksville by prying open the back door, police said.

On Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 3:30 a.m., the duo entered the Orchid Foot Spa on 3486 Merrick Road in Seaford to gain entry into the adjacent Verizon store, police said.
On Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 5:30 a.m., they entered the Aetna lighting store on 535 South Broadway in Hicksville to gain entry into the adjacent T-Mobile store, police said.
An investigation led to the arrest of Sanchez-Pena on Feb. 2 in Queens, police said.
Cardenas was located and arrested on Monday at 10:20 a.m. at Queens County Court where he was being arraigned on an unrelated charge.
The investigation is ongoing.
Sanchez-Pena was charged with four counts of third degree burglary, police said.
Cardenas is charged with seven counts of third degree burglary, police said.
