who will be offering the electronic recording of your DD 214 and Service Discharge papers free of charge.

 
WHEN: Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 8:00 pm
WHERE: 2301 Penatiquit Ave., Seaford, NY 11783 (off Merrick Rd; east of Rt. 135; make right at Jiffy Lube)
WHY: Insure against loss of original. Sealed from Public View. Accessible to immediate family. Prove eligibility for variety of benefits. 
 

Veterans or family members must bring in the original document (DD 214 or Discharge Certificate), no copies, to the Post. Representatives of the Clerk’s office will scan the document into the records of the County Clerk. The recording is sealed and not available to the general public for viewing. There is NO CHARGE for this service.

This event is open to all veterans and family members and is not limited to American Legion members.
