SEAFORD, NY — Police have arrested a Merrick man who they say broke into a Seaford pizzeria that he used to work at and left with cash.

Around 9:30 p.m. Monday, Nassau County patrol officers watched Richard Genoski, 29, enter through a locked door in the back of Tarallo's Pizzeria & Restaurant on Washington Avenue, police said.

The officers later saw him leave the building and stopped him. They learned the man was a former employee at the pizza joint and took an undisclosed number of bills, police said. Genoski was taken into custody without incident and charged with burglary.
