Fairfield Students Get Digital Reading Database
Students created slide presentations and will create fiction logs to track their reading.

Massapequa Schools: Throughout the year, fourth graders at Fairfield Elementary School in the Massapequa School District will read a lot of books and they are using technology to keep track of their reading.
Working with library media specialist Claire Mitchell, students recently created Google Slide presentations on their Chromebooks. Children will keep fiction logs for the 2019-20 school year to document all of the books they check out from the library. Ms. Mitchell explained that as each child gets a new book, he or she will add a slide to the presentation which will include a picture of the cover, the title, author, publisher and copyright information.
