Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. WANTAGH, NY — A home was fully engulfed in flames early Friday. Police and fire department responded to the call at Bayview Avenue just before 3:30 a.m. Residents had safely evacuated before police arrived, detectives said. A neighboring home suffered minor damage from the intense heat. There were no injuries from the fire, according to police. The Wantagh Fire Department was assisted by the Massapequa Fire Department in putting out the blaze. Approximately five pieces of apparatus and 35 firefighters were on hand, police said. The Arson/Bomb Squad Detectives and the Fire Marshal do not suspect criminality at this time, according to a release by police.
