Free Prostate Cancer Screening in Wantagh
Thousands of men are diagnosed every year -- make sure you get yourself checked.

Senator Michael Venditto and the Integrated Medical Foundation will be hosting a free prostate cancer screening at the Wantagh Public Library next week.
Venditto and IMF will be hosting the screening on Sept. 22, in conjunction with National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Wantagh Library, located at 3285 Park Ave.
Prostate cancer is the second-most common cancer among men in New York, after skin cancer. Each year in New York State, about 15,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer and 1,700 men die of the disease. It is estimated that one in seven men will develop prostate cancer during his life.

Integrated Medical Foundation (IMF) is a Long Island based non-profit dedicated to early detection of prostate cancer. It provides free screenings, support groups and educational programs. The organization has administered more than 2,500 free screenings for on Long Island and in the greater New York City metropolitan area since its incorporation.
