ICYMI: Frustrated Mom Looks To Change Law After Daughter's Death
Rena Gasparis has legislation named for her daughter, who was killed in a July 2020 crash, while the driver got no jail time.

WANTAGH, NY — For two years, Rena Gasparis has been trying to change the laws in New York, making it a felony for an unlicensed driver to crash and kill a passenger.
Gasparis' daughter Kyra died in that scenario and the driver received a one-year conditional release and a $350 fine, but no jail time.
Gasparis wants to see lawmakers make the change, but she's not optimistic.
