We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. State police arrested a Hempstead man early Sunday morning after officers allegedly found more than two pounds of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop.According to police, state troopers pulled over a 2003 Cadillac Escalade heading east on the Southern State Parkway in the Town of Hempstead just before 2 a.m. During the investigation, police say that they found 33.3 ounces of marijuana in the car. The driver, Marquis S. Wells, 24, was also driving with a suspended license, police say.WElls was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
