Man Charged In Connection To Pair Of Nassau Bank Robberies: PD
Joseph Mann is accused of robbing a bank in Wantagh on Monday, Nassau police say.

WANTAGH, NY — A man was taken into custody for robbing a bank in Wantagh, police said.
Joseph Mann, 49, of Wyandanch, is also accused of demanding money from a TD Bank in New Cassel on Tuesday morning, detectives said.
However, the teller did not comply and called the police. Mann fled the bank at 999 Old Country Road.

A short time later he entered the TD Bank on Wantagh Avenue in Wantagh. He approached the teller and jumped over the counter, removing an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
No one was injured.

An investigation by police led to Mann on Rockaway Boulevard in Queens, just before 6:30 p.m., police said.
He was in possession of a white rock believed to be cocaine, according to police.
Mann faces two counts of third-degree robbery and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
