Man Dies After Crashing Motorcycle Into Guardrail on Wantagh State Parkway
The 35-year-old was traveling at a "high rate of speed" when he hit the guardrail, police say.

A Central Islip man was killed after crashing his motorcycle into a guardrail on the Wantagh State Parkway early Thursday morning, according to State Police.
At about 1:57 a.m., Mauricio Rodriguez-Alvarez, 35, was driving a 2015 black BMW motorcycle traveling at a "high rate of speed" on the north bound Wantagh State Parkway ramp to go west on the Northern State Parkway when he crashed with a guardrail and was ejected from the motorcycle, police said.
Rodriguez-Alvarez was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.
