Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. A Central Islip man was killed after crashing his motorcycle into a guardrail on the Wantagh State Parkway early Thursday morning, according to State Police. At about 1:57 a.m., Mauricio Rodriguez-Alvarez, 35, was driving a 2015 black BMW motorcycle traveling at a "high rate of speed" on the north bound Wantagh State Parkway ramp to go west on the Northern State Parkway when he crashed with a guardrail and was ejected from the motorcycle, police said. Rodriguez-Alvarez was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow where he succumbed to his injuries, police said. The New York State Police is asking anyone who may have witnessed this accident to contact Troop L, Headquarters located in Farmingdale at (631)756-3300.
